THE STORY OF BACK CREEK OUTFITTERS
Back Creek Outfitters is a family owned business operated by an active military member and avid outdoorsman. Growing up playing in the water of Back Creek. fishing and hunting all of our life, we were brought up to respect the game we harvested, and to give thanks to the one who blessed us with the opportunity. Back Creek was the name of the creek that ran behind my house as a child. So what better of a name then where it all started. Back Creek Outfitters is a brand that was created to represent the Christ centered outdoorsmen and women. As we grow and strive to improve our brand, all we ask for is patience and understanding. If you have or are currently serving in the United States military, we want to say thank you. Without you we wouldn't have the freedom to create a brand this special, one in which defines who we are. ABOUT THE CREEK
Back Creek is a 16.8 mile long tributary of Conococheague Creek in south central Pennsylvania in the United States. The uppermost part of the creek flows through the Letterkenny Army Depot, Which then joins Conococheague Creek approximately 0.33 miles below the town of Williamson. Just before Back Creek drains into the Conococheague, a dam was built to help run the old limestone mill that was built in approximately 1836. This mill is no longer in operation but still stands today. Supposedly it was built to replace the old mill that was there before the 1700s. This wonderful creek that we all admire and love has more history then we may ever know but as we enjoy the water we think about how much this creek has provided for the great town of Williamson as well as surrounding towns.
